Quranova

Support

Most things are fixed below in under a minute. If yours isn’t, email support@quranova.chat or use the form at the foot of this page. A person reads every message, and we usually reply within one business day.

Signing in and your account

My sign-in code never arrived
Work through these in order. The first two solve almost every case.
  1. Check spam and Promotions. The code comes from a no-reply address and Gmail files it under Promotions more often than it should.
  2. Check the address for a typo, then tap back on the code screen, which returns you to the email step so you can correct it without starting over.
  3. Wait a minute before asking for another, and then use the newest email. Codes are short-lived, and requesting three in a row usually ends with someone typing one from the first message.
  4. Google or Apple will get you in without any email at all. Note that this makes a separate account rather than opening your existing one, so if you already have history under a code sign-in, write to us first rather than switching.

Still nothing after ten minutes? Email support@quranova.chat from the address you are trying to use and we will check our delivery logs for it.

How do I sign in? Is there a password?
There is no password. Enter your email and we send a six-digit code, or use Continue with Google or Continue with Apple. Nothing to remember and nothing to reset. Pick one and keep to it: each door makes its own account, so signing in with Google after months of using a code will open a fresh, empty one rather than yours. If that happens, sign out and come back the way you did before. Nothing is deleted, it is simply a different account.
The code screen wants six digits and I have four
It is always six. If you are looking at a shorter code you have an older message open, so scroll to the most recent one. (An early design mock showed four boxes; the app has always sent six.)
I changed phones, is everything still there?
Most of it. Sign in with the same email (or the same Google or Apple account) and your past questions, your reading position, your streak and your prayer marks come back: they belong to the account, not the handset. Saved verses, your collections and your reminder settings are kept on the phone itself, so those you will set up again. Your subscription restores separately, see below.

Trial, Plus and billing

I paid, but the app still says Free
Open your profile (the avatar in the top corner of Home) and tap See Plus (or Manage plan), then Restore purchases. That re-checks your receipt directly with the store.

If it finds nothing, the usual cause is a different store account: a subscription belongs to the Apple ID or Google account that bought it, not to your Quranova email. Check you are signed into the same one on the phone, then restore again. If that still fails, email us the store receipt (Apple sends one; Play Store keeps it in your order history) and we will match it to your account by hand.

How do I cancel Plus?
Not inside Quranova. The stores own the billing, so they own the cancel button.
iPhone: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Quranova → Cancel.
Android: Play Store → your profile picture → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Quranova → Cancel.
Plus keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
What happens when my free trial ends?
The 7-day free trial on yearly is run by the App Store or Google Play. When the 7 days end, the store starts your paid yearly plan, unless you cancel before then: on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Play Store → your profile picture → Payments and subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it. If instead you had a free period from an earlier version of the app, it simply ends and nothing is charged. Either way, anything you saved stays saved. Without a subscription the app waits for you, and nothing refills while it is closed. If your account existed before we made this change you keep your old free allowance and can still ask whatever is left of it.
How many questions do I get?
On Quranova Plus, including the yearly plan’s free trial, grounded answers come with a daily allowance that refills at midnight where you are. The app shows yours under Settings › Your plan. If your account is older than this change you also keep an existing lifetime allowance of 3 questions, which never refreshes and which every answer you have already been given comes out of. Nothing except grounded answers is metered: on Plus, reading the Qur’an, the daily verse, prayer times, the widgets and every other feature are simply open. The limit applies only to grounded answers, because each one searches the Qur’an, the Sunnah, the Seerah and the tafsir before it is written. The pricing page lays out both plans and the yearly trial side by side.
How much does Plus cost?
It is priced per country. The pricing page shows the monthly and yearly figures for the storefront we resolved from your location, which is a guide rather than a quote: your exact local price is shown on the upgrade screen in the app and on the store listing, and nothing is charged until you choose to subscribe.
Can I get a refund?
Apple and Google take the payment, so they issue the refunds. reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store; your order history in the Play Store for Android. If you were charged for something you did not mean to buy, write to us as well. We cannot reverse the charge but we can back up your request.

Prayer, widgets and answers

The prayer times don’t match my masjid
Almost always the calculation method. Authorities set the Fajr and Isha angles differently, and the two schools place Asr about an hour and a half apart. Open your profile from the avatar on Home, tap Prayer method, and choose the calculation your region uses and the Asr your masjid prays, and the times will line up. Everything is calculated on your phone from your location, and nothing is sent to us.
The Hijri date is a day out
That is expected, and there is a control for it. Our dates follow the published Umm al-Qura calendar of Saudi Arabia, but the moon is sighted differently country to country: Pakistan, India and Bangladesh are usually a day earlier. On the calendar screen tap Adjust and shift the date up to two days either way to match the calendar your masjid follows. The choice is remembered.
A widget is stuck on yesterday
Widgets refresh on a schedule your phone controls, not ours, so a new verse can take a while to appear. Opening the app updates them straight away. If one looks blank or frozen, remove it and add it again, which rebuilds it. A prayer widget reading “set up prayer times” needs location permission granted once in the app first.
The Qibla needle drifts or points the wrong way
Lay the phone flat and move it in a figure-of-eight a few times to calibrate the magnetometer, and step away from anything metal or magnetic. A car dashboard and a laptop are the usual culprits. If the app says it is pointing to magnetic north for now, it has not got a location fix yet and can be a degree or two out until it does.
Reminders aren’t arriving
Check Profile → Reminders in the app first, then your phone’s own notification settings for Quranova, because the phone can override us. On Android, allow exact alarms if the app offers it, or your device may delay a reminder by several minutes. There is a Send a test reminder button on that screen: lock your phone after tapping it and you will see one arrive the way a real one does. Reminders are scheduled on your device from your own prayer times, and nothing about them reaches our servers.
An answer looks wrong
Please report it. Every answer has a Report a bad answer control beneath it. Tell us whether it was an inaccurate claim, a missing citation or a tone problem. Reports are read by a person and are the main way answer problems get found. Quranova is an AI companion, not a scholar: it can be incomplete or wrong, and for matters of ruling please verify with a qualified scholar.
Does recitation audio play?
Not yet. We will not ship a recitation we do not hold the rights to, so the app shows the Arabic alongside the translation and stays quiet until that is settled.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: open your profile from the avatar on Home and tap Delete account at the foot of the screen (it is also under About this build). It is immediate and permanent: your profile, saved verses, question history and reading progress are removed. If you cannot sign in, use the delete account page and we will process the request and confirm by email. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel that with the store first.

Write to us

Tell us what you were doing and what happened instead. If it is about a purchase, include the store receipt; if it is about an answer, the question you asked. Messages reach the same inbox as support@quranova.chat.
